Start Right Course
The Start Right Course is a combination of the Skills Course, a Traffic Session and Road Test Preparation. A motorcycle is provided for your training and testing.
Who Is Start Right Motorcycle Training
I, Michael Hohn, am a Certified Instructor, Registered with ICBC. Bonded & Insured.
Start Right is an ICBC Certified Motorcycle Skills Assessment School. Why wait to go to ICBC to do your Skills Test? We don’t just run you through the Skills test to practice all weekend, we teach you the skills you need to safely operate a motorcycle. We do the Assessment with you at the end of the training, getting you on the road with No Supervisor or Speed Restrictions as early as14/30 days after passing your knowledge test getting your Class 6/8 Learners Licence.
I have lived in the Nanaimo area for over 25 years and my love for riding has taken me to new places, made new friends and has now brought me to this point. I look forward to sharing my passion in the Joy of Riding a Motorcycle.

Skills Course
This course will give you all the information including theory and practical lessons you will need to get you on the road safely. A motorcycle is provided for your training and testing.
Three Wheeled Courses
Three wheeled courses are offered, but you must have your own unit. There are no set dates for three wheeled courses, so you must contact us for information and pricing.
Who Needs Training? Everyone Does!
Whether you are new to riding or a seasoned rider, who maybe hasn't been on a bike in a few years, here at Start Right Motorcycle Training you will get the best possible training to increase your safe riding skills. You want to be confident, empowered and ready for what is around the next bend and to be able to share the experience of what it means to ride a motorcycle. The training you will receive at Start Right has the most up to date standards required by ICBC. This will give you the safe riding skills to make your own path on new roads. Our on-site School Bus Classroom allows you the opportunity to have all your training done at one location, being able to get out on the bike much sooner than other schools. At Start Right, we can train and test you on any type of Class 6/8 Motorcycle. Whether it be a Cruiser, Sport Bike, Can-Am Spyder, a Scooter/Moped or one of those new Electric Motorcycles we can fulfill all your training needs. We provide a selection of motorcycle styles for your training and testing.
