Trish E. Parsons was born in the wee hours of the morning in the little hamlet of Danville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of a nurse and a teacher.  All of her life prior to moving to Calgary was spent in central Pennsylvania.  She earned her Bachelor’s of Science (with Distinction) at The Pennsylvania State University (Schreyers Honour’s College) in biological anthropology.  During the later years of her undergraduate training she worked in a morphometrics laboratory studying the bone micro-architecture in a mouse model of Down Syndrome.  This was the major focus of her honour’s thesis.  Her summers were spent working in the Office for Research Protections at Penn State processing animal research protocols.  The main focus of Trish’s non-laboratory life is soccer.  She plays both indoor and outdoor soccer for the Chinook Rogues women’s team.
