I obtained my Honors BSc in the Co-op Cell and Molecular Biology program at the University of Toronto. During my second work term, in the summer of 2007, I worked as a research assistant in Dr. Jane Aubin’s laboratory at the University of Toronto in the Department of Medical Genetics. I assisted on several research projects, however the main focus of my work was related to a project involving the bone disease Osteogenesis Imperfecta in a mouse model. Currently a first year MSc student in Dr. Jane Aubin’s lab at the University of Toronto in the department of Medical Biophysics, I am working on a project that involves the regulation of bone formation in another ENU-mutant mouse, the Gja1Jrt/+ mouse. My research interests include studying processes of bone formation, osteoprogenitor populations and mesenchymal stem cells.
