Born in Kingston, Ontario, Stephanie completed a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University in 2009. Currently she is working towards her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Hunter and Dr. Michael Kallos at the University of Calgary. Her research is looking at regeneration of the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral disc using mesenchymal-stem-cell derived nucleus pulposus cells embedded in an injectable biomaterial. Outside of laboratory, Stephanie enjoys painting, drawing, and running.
