Graeme Campbell obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2005.  During his undergraduate study, he worked as a summer student in the Human Performance Laboratory in 2002 where he worked on a project that examined changes in muscle activity after various forms of muscle contraction.  From 2003 to 2004 he worked as an internship student for Alstom in Baden, Switzerland conducting research on burner configurations in gas turbines.  He is now pursuing his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at the University of Calgary.  He is studying how pharmaceutical interventions for osteoporosis affect local changes in bone structure, mineralization and mechanics using in vivo micro-computed tomography.  He is also exploring the accuracy of micro-computed tomography in the measurement of body composition.   While not working in the lab, Graeme plays the bass guitar in a rock band, and tries to play hockey on a recreational hockey team in Calgary.
